Therapist Search Report

A quiet week with no new therapist directory surging in -- the leaders held steady and Dr. Leonardo kept up its slow climb. This edition of the report was published on July 13th, 2026

What is Dr. Leonardo Doing?

July 13th, 2026 Edition

This was a quiet week -- and I'll take it.

The main thing I look for each week is a new name rocketing up out of nowhere. That's usually the sign of a fresh therapist directory scraping profiles and getting indexed by Google. This week, there wasn't one.

But we're still stuck with this one that concerns me...

Dr. Leonardo -- the website-builder platform that puts therapists on its own subdomains. It ticked up again to a new recent high.

And what bothers me is that it clearly created profiles (or standalone websites, in this case) for therapists without their permission. (Otherwise, they wouldn't have an option to claim them.)

And what bothers me even more is that the information for these therapists is clearly wrong.

Each "claimable" profile that I can find lists these as the therapist's hours:

  • Sunday: Closed
  • Monday: 9:00 - 5:00
  • Tuesday: 9:00 - 5:00
  • Wednesday: 9:00 - 5:00
  • Thursday: 9:00 - 5:00
  • Friday: 9:00 - 5:00
  • Saturday: Closed

Does that sound accurate to you?

If you're listed on the Dr. Leonardo website, please try to remove yourself. I'm curious to know what the process is like. (You can email me at jon@quilltherapysolutions.com)

No surprises up top: LinkedIn is still the most visible domain when clients search for a therapist, and Psychology Today still owns the top of the page. Both are up nicely over the past month. Below them, Dr. Leonardo is the one that keeps quietly gaining some ground.

Note: These statistics are intended to highlight broad patterns we've observed when searching for therapists by name. While we use a consistent methodology and a reasonable sample size, the results are not exhaustive. They may not reflect every search variation, every geographic region, or every change in search engine algorithms. This information should be viewed as a general snapshot, not a definitive or complete record. (And if you have ideas on how we can make our analysis even better, we'd love to hear them!)

Quill Therapy Solutions

About Quill: Quill helps therapists write clear, accurate, and professional therapy progress notes in less time. You record (or write) a brief session summary, and Quill formats those important details into a well-written note -- so you can focus on your clients, not your paperwork. And importantly, Quill does not record therapy sessions, so you don't have to sacrifice your ethics or your clients' privacy.

Also, therapists can now create their own custom documentation templates -- so whether it's an intake assessment, custom progress note format, or literally any other type of documentation, Quill has you covered.
