Appearance Scores

Note: Appearance Score is how frequently this website shows up (so a higher number means it's more popular or common), while Average Position is where in those search results this website is displayed (so a lower number means it's higher up on the page and more likely to be clicked).

Unlike most of the newcomers we've flagged when they pop up in search results for therapists, Dr. Leonardo isn't a directory that scraped a pile of profiles. It's a tool that individual providers appear to sign up for on purpose.

And it's had a genuinely steady climb: from near-invisible to a fixture in the top 10 over a couple of months, without the spike-and-vanish pattern we usually see. (We haven't independently verified how every therapist page on it got there, so we're not assuming everyone listed opted in — but the product is clearly a build-your-own-site platform.)

There's a wrinkle worth understanding, though. Because each provider's site lives on a subdomain (something like yourname.dr-leonardo.com), that web address isn't really yours. If you ever leave the platform, the address — and whatever search ranking it built up for your name — stays behind with them.

Interestingly, Dr. Leonardo markets this ranking strength as a feature, claiming its sites outrank the big provider directories. That may well be true. Just remember that the presence doing the ranking is one you rent, not one you own. This is the same reason we keep encouraging therapists to register their own domain.

Note: These statistics are intended to highlight broad patterns we've observed when searching for therapists by name. While we use a consistent methodology and a reasonable sample size, the results are not exhaustive. They may not reflect every search variation, every geographic region, or every change in search engine algorithms. This information should be viewed as a general snapshot, not a definitive or complete record. (And if you have ideas on how we can make our analysis even better, we'd love to hear them!)

Quill Therapy Solutions

About Quill: Quill helps therapists write clear, accurate, and professional therapy progress notes in less time. You record (or write) a brief session summary, and Quill formats those important details into a well-written note -- so you can focus on your clients, not your paperwork. And importantly, Quill does not record therapy sessions, so you don't have to sacrifice your ethics or your clients' privacy.

Also, therapists can now create their own custom documentation templates -- so whether it's an intake assessment, custom progress note format, or literally any other type of documentation, Quill has you covered.
